1 Short Lane – looks like a long job!

So much to do and so little time. We need all hands on deck to tackle the combination of an overgrowth of vegetation and general neglect on this job.

Where to start? What with tree stumps and what looked like a neglected Veg patch it looked like a long job.

The overall task was to bring the property back to life and ensure all construction elements met building regulations.

We got stuck in, and, with a combination of hard graft, with help from a mini excavator, the foliage slowly disappeared and, progress and ground preparation could get started.

Lintels were introduced over the windows in the rear extension as none had been installed originally.

After the ground was levelled, we could lay a substrate to take paving, creating a patio and hard surface access to all areas of the garden and a new path between the property and the garage– with very low maintenance for the owner. The substrate was permeable for the non-paved area so all rainwater could soak through. These areas were given a layer of 20mm gravel for an attractive finish

We then turned to the rendering on the buildings and made good throughout. We then added several coats of external paint to ensure a long and trouble-free life for the rendered areas.
