And there is nothing more important than the roof. As the years pass the tiles get more brittle and start shaling, the roofing felt slowly loses its waterproof qualities and the result is ever increasing ‘niggly’ problems caused by the ingress of water.
Water is the enemy of roof timbers and when roof timbers get wet they can by very attractive to woodworm as it is softer and easier to burrow into.

Saving Lincolnshire Heritage
When you have an precious group of heritage trees up, on the Lincolnshire Wolds, they need protection. But, there is some good grazing for sheep in the field that has those trees.
Oakleigh was asked to create strong, durable tree protectors (left) so the owner could make maximum use of the grazing without risking any of these varieties to suffer damage and, even worse, to be lost forever.
